Was It A Miracle

A long time ago I came to a realization. It was that regardless of what is happening, if your mind does not register the information your senses are presenting to you, then for all intents and purposes, that reality is not happening for you.

How often have you been looking both ways down a road or highway before pulling out, thinking the way was clear, only to have a car scream by with it's horn blasting at you, and a hand hanging out the window giving you the one finger salute?

Where did that come from? It was clear both ways just a second ago! But was it really?
Your eyes take in data that your mind and brain interpret. If your eyes take in data about a car, but it does not get interpreted (for whatever reason), that car will not be there for you, well,...not until it hits you anyway.

Once my wife and I were at my in laws, and I couldn't find a set of my keys. I looked all over for a good thirty minutes, especially in my coat and pants pockets. I had my hands in my pockets half a dozen times for each pocket, and no keys! Finally I decided to use my wife's keys and go back home and see if I could find them there.

No dice. I got back to my in laws house and told them all that I couldn't find them anywhere. Then I stuck my hand in the front pocket of my jeans and guess what?

You guessed it. There were my keys as big and bulky as life! Totally unbelievable. If it hadn't happened to me personally, I wouldn't have believed it possible.

So,...were the keys there all the time and my mind and brain didn't register the data that my fingers were sending or,...was it a miracle! ,...or perhaps higher powers were just jerking my chain.

Don't Cast Your Pearls Before Swine

What message was Jesus conveying when he said "don't cast your pearls before swine."

Jesus was giving credence and recognition to the varying vibrational nature of people's beliefs. A similar phrase is "they don't know, what they don't know."

Both of these ideas are telling you that it is pointless to try to communicate high vibrational values and concepts to people who do not have the ability to understand them. Now that may sound callous and harsh, but it is just a reality one has to understand and deal with in life.

You can't make some one like a painting if they dislike it, or make them love football if they hate it, and in that same vein, one does not try to teach university level mathematics to a child in second grade. A foundation of knowledge and understanding must be built first, so that higher knowledge can become useful.

The same theory applies to day-to-day life. Those people whose beliefs are significantly vibrationally lower than your own, will not easily be able to integrate your ideas into their own belief system.

Where this applies in our society is that you can not take a person who is a killer, and by showing them a little charity, expect them to turn over a new leaf. If you try to pet a rattle snake, it will probably bite you, no matter how good your intentions are.

Therefore, it is wise to always interact with people at their level of belief or slightly higher, whatever that level that may be. This will mean that your intentions will always be "loving," but your actions will be tempered by the reality of the situation, or person you are involved with.

"Idealism" is the journey you are undertaking, however it may be wise to put on some shoes, and dress for the weather. Life is a balance between idealism and existing reality.
