Raising Children

It is mildly amusing that many people who do not understand themselves or other people, often find themselves in a position where they are guiding the lives of children.

This is the first clue as to why the world is the way it is today. At any given time a person can only be who and what they are, and so their guidance to children can be no higher vibrationally, than their own ability to love.

Love is the nature of our creator, the universe, and our nature also, therefore, any strategy or system of thought which has been devised as a means of guiding children to maturity, must be based first and foremost in the principal of love.

Having this strategy in place will cause you to act toward your children in a manner that will be serving their long term highest good.

Children are very ego oriented, and are always interested in getting what feels good now! They are quick to learn which of their actions bring them the reactions they were looking for, and so in every moment you are either training them, or they are conditioning you.

Children are really the prime example of ego without sophistication. An adult ego works exactly the same way, only it has been wrapped in layers of sophisticated behavior, designed to make itself more socially acceptable to other people, but at it's core it is the very same ego internally, with just a few more wrinkles and a little less hair.

A good question you might want to ask yourself is, can a dysfunctional person recognize their dysfunctional behavior?

And if not, are they likely to be able to guide their children away from that which they themselves can't see?

The idea about giving advice as to how to raise children is pointless, for those people who already know how, and equally pointless for those people who can't control their own ego or thought processes.

Essentially the raising of children can be classed into two trains of thought. There is the "do as I say, not as I do" group of parents. Then there is the "I am the life, the truth, and the way" group.

Which one do think has the greater possibility?
