This doesn't come under the heading of mystical, but sometimes a break is good. Anyway, one evening my work partner and I were heading home after a long day of selling door to door home improvements, in a community that was about two hours from my home. We were traveling down hwy 11 south, a multi-lane hwy in Ontario Canada. We had stopped for a coffee, and then got back into the car and started heading home. I'm a little fuzzy on the time, but it was about maybe between ten or eleven o’clock in the evening. As I was looking out the front window of the passenger side of the car I noticed two colored lights in the sky, off to my left side. The details aren't as clear now, but they were either both red, or red and green.
Anyway, I didn't think too much about it because I knew there was a small airport close to the highway on the way home, and I assumed they must have belonged to some kind of craft that was just coming in or leaving. It was too dark to see the physical body of the plane, or determine the distance the lights were from us, however I surmised that they could be no more than a half mile away. It caught my attention as I watched them that, they didn't appear to be moving, just hovering, and so I assumed that the lights probably belonged to a helicopter.
While I had my eyes on the two lights, they instantaneously traversed the whole sky from left to right, a distance that had to be miles, coming to a complete stop, from full speed, all in the blink of an eye. Then they repeated this move from right to left across the sky, to their original position, coming to a dead stop from full speed in another split second, and finally, no sooner had they stopped in their original position, then they moved across the sky again from left to right at a speed that was so fast that you could not even follow them with your eyes.
I sat in my seat trying to make sense of what I had just seen. Intellectually I knew I had just seen a UFO, but my mind was still trying to come to grips with the laws of physics which I had just witnessed. I turned my head toward my partner, who looked at me, and we both said the same words at the same time, "did you just see, what I saw?" Another interesting point to this story is that, I had just finished reading a new book all about the crash of alien space ships at Roswell in the fifties, written by an ex air force colonel, who had been a part of much of what transpired at that base. What's up with that?
Can any body out there relate to this story?
